1You have safety and security from enemies and dangers because of your good foundation, but there is non-cohesion among you. The disciples (you) ask about fullness and deficiency, life and death. (***Water popularly represents life. It can be associated with birth, fertility, and refreshment. However, water can also be destructive as in the biblical flood which only Noah and his family escaped; water drowns and erodes, wearing away even the densest of stones given enough time. ..And so with respect to water, which signifies the spiritual things of faith, and concerning which the Lord thus speaks in John:— Yashayah says, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again; but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a fountain of water springing up unto eternal life (John 4:13, 14) Acts 1:5 King James Version 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
